The Costs of an OSHA Citation:
Consider "direct" and "indirect" costs above the citation:
• Loss of bidding, contracts and clients
• Negative publicity / Loss of reputation
• Abatement costs / Cost of retraining
• Lost productivity / Loss of employee morale
• Increased insurance premiums and/or loss of insurance
• Risk of future "repeat" or "willful" Violations/ Severe Violator Enforcement Program (SVEP)
• Negative impact on related civil litigation
